Probability and Mathematical Statistics (PMS) was founded in 1980 as a result of the initiative of the Wrocław probability community led by Kazimierz Urbanik and Czesław Ryll-Nardzewski, and the statistics community represented by Witold Klonecki. They served as Editors of the journal during the first twenty-five years of its existence, with Urbanik acting as Editor-in-Chief.

PMS offers unrestricted open access to its content — there are no publication fees for authors and no subscription costs for readers. The journal is fully funded by Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the University of Wrocław. All submitted papers are peer-reviewed. We ahve no publication delay except, of course, reviewing time.

For more information and to access past issues of PMS, please visit the website:

Manuscripts should be submitted through the editorial system:

We encourage the participants of SPA 2025 to submit their work to Probability and Mathematical Statistics (PMS) this year. The contributions will undergo the usual evaluation procedure and, if accepted, will be published in the regular volumes of PMS. Submissions will be handled by the Associate Editors: Adam Osękowski for probability papers and Anna Dudek for statistics. To follow this path, please indicate your participation in SPA 2025 during submission. In Step 7 of the editorial system, in the Note to Editors field, type: SPA 2025 participant, see LINK.
